Hunting, fishing licence issuer fined

An Armstrong licence issuer has been fined $1,000 for failing to remit money obtained from selling hunting and fishing licences.
Craig Toset, 37, of Beedahbin Bait, pleaded guilty to failing to remit $2,268 taken from sales in the summer and fall of 2004.
A licence issuer must remit proceeds to the Ministry of Natural Resources by the 20th of the month following the month of the sales.
Toset did not send the money until the spring of 2005.
Justice of the Peace Robert Michels heard the case Oct. 5 in Thunder Bay.
