Around 12:30 p.m. yesterday, Rainy River District OPP located Patrick O’Connell’s vehicle in the Turtle River Road area.
The 53-year-old Fort Frances man had lost his way when hunting Tuesday night, but was able to make his way out of the bush to a roadway, where he was picked up by a fellow hunter in the morning.
The two then returned to O’Connell’s vehicle, where they were met by police.
O’Connell was reported to be safe and in good health.
The Northwest Region Emergency Response Team and OPP helicopter responded to assist the Rainy River District OPP in this investigation.
