Officers from the Dryden and Ignace OPP are investigating an incident involving found human remains along Highway 17, 25 km east of Ignace.
The remains were found Tuesday by individuals who were blueberry picking in the area.
These individuals, in turn, reported the discovery to the OPP in Ignace.
The incident continues to be investigated with the assistance of OPP North West Regional Forensic Identification personnel, Crime Unit personnel, and a forensic anthropologist from the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto.
No foul play is suspected at this time, but more information will be released pending the results of a post-mortem examination to be held next week in Toronto.
