On Sunday around 9:10 p.m., Rainy River District OPP officers responded to the report of a house fire on O’Brien Street in Atikokan.
The house, which is not normally occupied, was engulfed in flames when police arrived on the scene.
The Atikokan Fire Rescue Service attended the scene to extinguish the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit, along with local detachment members, have begun their investigation into the cause of the fire in conjunction with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office.
