Press Release
On Dec. 8, the La Verendrye Hospital Auxiliary recognized five members with appreciation certificates at its annual Christmas luncheon.
These women are longstanding members who have donated countless hours of behind-the-scenes support.
They work quietly, and are so generous with their time and talents.
Those receiving this award were:
•Vi Plumridge—for knitting baby hats for La Verendrye’s newborns and donating her artwork for every draw or sale;
•Olive Eisenhauer—for her years of working in the gift shop and on the patients’ cart, baking, tag days, and her financial support;
•Joan Ward—for organizing two workers per day for the gift shop and cart workers for years, plus baking;
•Maggie Tarrant—for her copious amounts of knitting for the gift shop, and baking; and
•Georgina Connor—for her many years of working tag days and the cart, and baking.
All these women are present at every function willing to give a helping hand.
Also on Dec. 8, members of 25 years also were recognized and received their 25-year pins. These included June Smith, Lois Witherspoon, Lois Medhurst, and Marjorie Stuart.
Members like these women are truly dedicated to helping enhance our community’s quality of hospital care.
