If any ladies are looking for a night out, they’re in luck.
Some tickets are still available for the “Hope and the City” fundraiser event set to go tomorrow at 7 p.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Tickets, which cost $35, are available at Gillons’, Fort Floral, and the Rendez-Vous, as well as at the door (if there are any left).
“Things are going fantastic,” enthused co-organizer Jennifer Anderson.
“Things are falling in place.”
The age-of-majority event for woman, hosted by the Canadian Cancer Society, is based on the old TV show “Sex and the City.”
It is meant to mirror the fun and camaraderie of the show’s characters while raising funds specifically for women’s cancers, such as breast, cervical, ovarian, and uterine.
It was held for the first time here in November, 2012, raising more than $5,000.
Those attending will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, music, fun, and fundraising.
In addition, there will be prizes and draws, a fashion show, vendors selling items, and a cash bar.
“What better to do when you have the January blues than get dolled up and go out,” Anderson reasoned.
“It’s a fun and fancy girls’ night out, and it’s all in support of a great cause,” she added.
