Due to recent heavy rainfall, Highway 587 near Thunder Bay is closed at Joe Creek, 17 km south of Highway 11/17 (three km in from the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park entrance), due to washout.
Repairs are underway.
A timeline is dependent on the water level dropping.
Meanwhile, Highway 502, 11.3 km north of Highway 11, remains closed until further notice, as does Highway 593, 6.1 km north of Highway 61.
