High school artwork on display

Budding artists from Fort High have their works on display at the Fort Frances Public Library.
The display includes works from students in Grade 9 to OAC, showcasing their talents in everything from pencil sketches to elaborate paintings.
“This is just a sample of some of the things we do,” FFHS art teacher Anna Pierroz said this morning. “We pick the most outstanding examples of the different projects we give.”
Some students made pencil sketches of dragons while others completed land and seascape paintings. Cats with pastel eyes peer out from the paper next to a pencil drawn hand holding what seems to be a prize-winning fish.
All were works completed in Pierroz’s or Owen Johnston’s art classes this semester.
This isn’t first time these students have had their work on display, Pierroz noted. They’ve had paintings and sculptures throughout the high school for fellow classmates to see.
The artwork went on display at the library on Monday and will be there for a couple of weeks.
