Heavy metal and hard-core rock lovers are in for a treat as three bands are set to perform here tomorrow night.
Local band “Tugnut” is set to share the stage with Thunder Bay group “The Exiled” and “Pillar” from Regina, Sask. at the Ukrainian Hall at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $5 each, and can be purchased at the door.
Joe Egan, a member of self-described heavy-metal band “Tugnut,” said the night is not one soon to be repeated in Fort Frances.
“With the [quality of these] bands, you’re not gonna want to miss these guys,” noted Egan, who described “The Exiled” as hard-core rockers with Swedish heavy metal influences.
“Pillar,” currently on a cross-Canada tour, combine hard rock with more melodic sounds.
“A number of people say they’re the number-one unsigned band in Canada,” Egan enthused.
This is not the first time “Tugnut” has performed locally, nor is it the biggest concert the group has been involved with. But Egan said they hope it is just the beginning for more hard rock concerts in this area.
“This is the best band to be brought through town and if it goes well, we might bring more in,” he remarked.
