Full-time health card services are now available at ServiceOntario centres in Rainy River and Emo.
The new availability of these services, including address changes and renewal, comes as the integration of both driver’s and health card services under one roof is rolled out across the province.
Health card services became available at Rainy River’s ServiceOntario centre, located at 334 Fourth St., as of Sept. 20.
Emo’s Service Ontario Centre, located at 5967 Highway 11/17, began offering the health card services as of Monday (Sept. 27).
Full-time Health Card services are scheduled to be offered at the ServiceOntario centre in Fort Frances (922 Scott St.) within a matter of weeks.
Driver and vehicle licensing services already are offered at these locations.
“Ontarians will benefit from a one-stop shopping experience for most health card and driver’s licence services at all of our ServiceOntario centres by the end of this year,” Government Services minister Harinder S. Takhar stated in a news release.
Prior to this, district residents had access to health card services only two-three days each month, or by travelling to Kenora or Thunder Bay.
