The Rainy Lake Gymnastics Academy is the only local finalist in the Tbaytel for Good Community Fund competition and is seeking the district’s help.
The Tbaytel for Good Community Fund aims to look to the people and communities in Tbaytel’s neighbourhood to tell them about the good work happening all around them.
Its hope is that they will share their vision for a better and brighter Northern Ontario by submitting project ideas for funding consideration–projects that could make an even bigger difference with Tbaytel’s support behind them.
The Rainy Lake Gymnastics Academy is one of five finalists vying for a $5,000 prize and hopes to use the funds for assistance with start-up equipment costs to bring gymnastics back to Fort Frances and surrounding communities.
The club is scheduled to open in September and would like to purchase floor exercise and balance beam equipment to maximize reach for children of various ages within the program.
