On April 1, Canada Border Services officers at the Fort Frances port of entry discovered a loaded .38 calibre Smith & Wesson handgun under the driver’s seat of a vehicle during a secondary examination.
The driver, a 62-year-old Texas man, is charged with smuggling, failing to report goods, evading compliance, and possession of illegally-imported goods under the Customs Act.
