What are the objectives of the “Seniors and Law Enforcement Together” (S.A.L.T.) group?
The following gives a brief summary:
•to provide community-based programs designed to help services meet the needs of seniors;
•to mobilize seniors within their communities to take a proactive approach to helping other seniors;
•to provide a communication link between the seniors of our community and the police services and other service providers;
•to create awareness and educational opportunities; and
•to respond to the needs of seniors by formulating, implementing, and delivering programs.
