The Fort Frances Fire Department responded to a fire at A&W here Saturday morning.
A call came in at 5:24 a.m. that there was a grease fire on a grill in the kitchen, Fort Frances Fire Chief Steve Richardson said this morning.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire, but were on scene for a little over an hour.
While fire damage was isolated to the kitchen, there was some smoke damage.
No one was injured as a result of the fire or smoke. The only people at the restaurant at that time were employees getting readying to open.
A&W remained closed as of this morning as the owners are waiting to replace some kitchen equipment damaged in the fire.
