Good Friday breakfast tickets for sale

The Fort Frances Kiwanis Club is back again with its very popular Good Friday breakfast, with tickets now for sale.
The breakfast will take place Friday, March 29 at 8 a.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Tickets, which cost $10 each, are available from Green’s Brandsource and Lidkea Optometry, as well as Kiwanians Diane Maxey (274-7309) and June Caul (274-2209), who are spearheading the event.
A total of 250 tickets are available but Maxey said the sooner people snatch up tickets, the better. Not only is there a very good chance the event will sell-out, but knowing how many people are coming helps Rendez-Vous staff prepare.
As in past years, there will be a full breakfast buffet featuring eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and more.
Allan Yerxa of St. John’s Anglican Church here will be the guest speaker while the “Fort Harmonies,” the choir led by Maxey, will provide the music.
“It should be good. It should be a nice morning,” said Maxey.
“Hopefully it will be well-attended. It always is,” she added.
“We missed a year there two years ago, and then we had it back and everybody just loved it,” Maxey enthused.
The Good Friday breakfast began here back in 1994 by Kiwanis past governor Ken Koprowski.
The purpose of the event is to celebrate Good Friday in a spirit of unity with a non-denominational event.
It’s also a way for the Kiwanis to say “thank you” to the public for its support.
