U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the International Falls, Mn. port of entry apprehended a Liberty, Miss. man, wanted there for the possession of dangerous drugs, when he tried to enter the United States on Friday (June 5).
Officers arrested Michael Hills, 20, when a name check revealed he was the subject of a National Criminal Information Center felony warrant.
Hills was turned over to the Koochiching County Sheriff’s Department and transported to Koochiching County jail prior to transport back to Liberty.
The National Criminal Information Center is a centralized automated database designed to share information among law enforcement agency of outstanding criminal warrants for a wide range of offences as well as records pertaining to missing persons.
