The Friends of the Fort Frances Public Library held their regular monthly meeting on April 21, 2005. New members who signed up during the membership drive were welcomed.
The Friends provided baking for “Thomas the Tank’s” afternoon visit to the library last Saturday (May 7).
They will also be holding a book sale on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. The community is invited to come to the library for some good buys and to help support the library.
The group also is busy planning their future events. They will be helping with the popular Teddy Bear’s Picnic in June and are starting to organize the annual tag day that will be in September.
They discussed new ideas for fund-raising and social events that will enrich our community life and help make our library the best it can be.
The next Friends of the Fort Frances Library meeting will be Tuesday, May 17 at 2 p.m.
