The Fort Frances Friends of Animals is looking for donations of items for a huge community sale slated for Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Métis Hall.
Residents are asked to search their homes for gently-used items (no clothes, please) to donate for the fundraiser, which will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Items can be dropped off at the Métis Hall (714 Armit Ave.) during the afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 22 and Friday, Aug. 23.
Until then, they also can be left weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce office (located upstairs at the Northern Lights Credit Union building).
In addition to a huge community sale of donated items, there also will be a bake sale.
While you’re there, pick up a hotdog and a drink for a donation of $5.
All donations will help animals in need.
Funds will go towards emergency surgeries, spaying and neutering, food, and care, as well as towards establishing a future holding facility for cats and dogs.
