Fort High to stage ‘Anything Goes’

Preparations are underway for Fort High’s annual musical production, whic is “Anything Goes,” a show staged once before in 1988.
“Anything Goes” is a comedy about a stowaway, Billy, on a ship going to London. Billy tries to win back a lost love who is on her way to be married to a rich British aristocrat, who falls for Reno, an evangelist turned lounge singer.
Billy also must avoid his boss, who is travelling on the ship and thinks Billy is working in Washington.
The production will be directed by Val Martindale, who has directed a number of previous musicals at Fort High. John Dutton and Chris Denby will be musical directors, and Sherree Martin will choreograph the show.
Auditions were held last Sunday. A cast list will be posted by the end of the week so rehearsals can get underway after exam week.
The show is slated to run April 12-15 in the Townshend Theatre.
