On August 7, 2021, at approximately 3:50 a.m. the Fort Frances Fire Rescue Service responded to a structure fire at Lakeview Trailer Park.
14 team members, two pumper trucks, and a rescue pickup truck responded to the scene.
No one was injured. The structure was a total loss.
Investigation of the fire scene has been completed. The cause of the fire has been classified as undetermined.
“I would like to thank all team members of the Fort Frances Fire Rescue Service, OPP, and Paramedic Service for responding,” said Fort Frances Fire Chief, Tyler Moffitt.
He also reminds residents to practice fire safety in their place of residence by ensuring that working smoke alarms are installed on every level of their residence, and outside/near all sleeping areas. As well, for added protection we highly recommend installing working smoke alarms inside each bedroom/sleeping area.
“Just as important, develop and practice a fire escape plan for your residence,” he said. “Please stay vigilant in your efforts to ensure the protection of your family.”
