According to a statement from the Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service, a Christmas tree drop-off has been organized for Saturday, January 11th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

“There will be no tree pickup by firefighters this year,” reads the release from Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service officials. “People can drop their trees off in the same location as last year, Daryl’s Custom Landscapes property located on McIrvine Road.”

Dary’ls is the first left turn North of Eighth Street, and there will be signage to direct people there.

“Firefighters will be on-site to assist with unloading Christmas trees,” reads the release. “Anyone wanting to make a donation can do so at the Fire Hall or on-site.”

According to the release, the donations will be given to a “worthy cause that is currently undetermined.

“Donations are given to a worthy cause within the community, [and] yet to be determined,” reads the statement. “We would like to give a sincere thank you to Daryl’s Custom Landscapes for their continued support and providing a place for residents to drop off their trees.”
