Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) expects to see a large number of people getting their flu shot this fall. Flu shots will be available after Thanksgiving at pharmacies, from family doctors and nurse practitioners, or from the health unit.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NWHU flu clinics will run differently this year to ensure public safety. Clinic locations will be chosen so that physical distancing and other public health measures can be followed. All NWHU clinics will be by appointment only. Pharmacies cannot give the shot to anyone under 5 years old. We encourage families with children under 5 to book an appointment with the health unit or with their health care provider.
