Alberton clerk Faye Flatt has been hired by the Town of Fort Frances to take on the position of municipal planner, the Times learned this morning.
Flatt, who has been Alberton’s clerk for five years, will replace Ted Berry, who is retiring from the position.
Although the hiring decision has yet to be formally approved by Fort Frances council, Flatt is expected to take office by the end of May.
Alberton council is slated to discuss filling its clerk vacancy at tomorrow night’s regular monthly meeting there.
