Ministry of Natural Resources Fire Rangers responded to a blaze yesterday at Happy Landing Lodge in the Pipestone Lake area.
Harrold Boven, with the MNR fire management office here, indicated this morning he isn’t aware how the fire started at this point.
“We were there to prevent it from spreading further into the bush. That’s what our mandate is,” he explained.
Boven added the fire is now out but some buildings were lost as a result of the fire.
Information about the fire was passed along to fire investigators at the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office.
