If you’ve ever wanted to be in a film, here’s your chance.
Toronto-based Jigsaw Casting informed the Times yesterday that it will be in Fort Frances today through Monday to cast a film.
“We are casting a film about keeping warm, and our clients chose Fort Frances as it is a thriving community who also happens to have the coldest climate in the winter,” noted casting assistant Laura Collu.
“We want to get a feeling of how your community stays positive during our long winters,” she added, noting they are looking for a variety of local residents to participate.
Some of the individuals they’re looking for, but are not limited to, include bingo-lovers, ice enthusiasts, a gruff lovable senior, community service workers, scavenger hunt enthusiasts, local butcher, young couples, school children, families, and anyone who can share their secrets of keeping warm.
Those interested must apply in order to be invited in to audition.
E-mail the following to info@jigsawcasting.com:
•your name, age, and a brief paragraph about yourself;
•a photo of yourself (no larger than 200 kb); and
•your primary contact information (i.e., phone number and e-mail address).
Be sure to write PROJECT WARM in the subject line of e-mail, along with your name and age.
Submissions are due by 5 p.m. today (Nov. 28), but you still can submit after the due date to be considered by photo.
Auditions will take place Sunday (Nov. 30) from 5-8 p.m. at the Super 8 here.
The film shoot then will go on Dec. 12 or 13, with the selected participants only needed for a couple of hours on the day of shoot.
