To answer a question some people have been asking Bill Gushulak recently:
“No, world champion fiddle Scott Woods will be not be performing at Knox United Church this upcoming Mother’s Day.”
After bringing the Scott Woods Old-Time Fiddling show here for the past four years, Gushulak said organizers didn’t book him this year due to time constraints and some other commitments.
“Perhaps we’ll get back on the schedule in the future,” noted Gushulak.
“They were a great group to host and work with, and we wish them all the best.”
Gushulak indicated that after checking the Scott Woods Show online at www.scottwoods.ca, the renowned fiddler still has quite a busy schedule this year.
The closest show in the area will be one at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Thunder Bay on Saturday, May 8 before they head to Manitoba and points further west.
