Fort Frances residents may see much of Sunday without power as Fort Frances Power Corporation (FFPC) moves ahead with its planned outage.
The power outage is scheduled to run between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, meaning those living within FFPC’s service area could spend most of the day without power.
According to the FFPC, the planned outage is to allow their crews to replace critical infrastructure at their transformer station in town.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” the FFPC said.
