FFPC customers to get another rebate

The board of directors for the Fort Frances Power Corp. announced today that all standard supply customers will receive an additional rebate for benefits realized by the historical power agreement with Abitibi-Consolidated.
The rebate is calculated at the rate of one-half cent per kilowatt hour ($.005/kWh), plus the GST, on the number of kilowatt hours consumed between May 1 and Dec. 1, 2002 by all standard supply customers, including commercial.
The rebate will appear as a credit on subsequent customer hydro bills.
This rebate is in addition to the power contract credit of 1.23 cents per kWh that has been in effect since May, 2002, and is not in any capacity related to the price fixing brought about by government legislation.
The FFPC board will continue its efforts to provide the lowest possible energy rates for all customers.
