With Easter coming up next weekend, the Clover Valley Farmers’ Market is hoping to get a jump on things by opening its doors earlier than usual.
“The weather was so nice, we wanted to give it a try. And with Easter coming up, we knew we had to be open for that, especially with the flowers,” said Donna Lowey, who runs Lowey’s Greenhouses along with her husband, Blair.
Lowey noted the farmers’ market building, located on McIrvine Road just north of Canadian Tire, will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. tomorrow.
While not being the season for fresh produce, the market still promises a variety of merchants, including those selling meats, baking, perogies, cabbage rolls, crafts, gourmet coffee, candles, Tupperware, and, flowers.
The farmers’ market usually opens for the season the first Saturday in May.
