The second-annual Women’s Health Symposium will be here before you know it so if you’ve been thinking about being an exhibitor, now is the time to act!
Exhibitors are urged to submit their booth registration and information to committee members well in advance of the event, which is slated for Saturday, May 12 at Fort Frances High School.
Some 40 exhibitors were featured at the inaugural symposium last year, which covered a wide range of women’s issues, including natural medicine, body massage, crisis management, and financial fitness.
Exhibitors once again will be set up in the high school’s large and small gymnasiums and atrium, with the cafeteria spotlight for lunch and nutrition breaks.
Guest speakers will be highlighted in the Townshend Theatre, including motivational speaker Linda Moore of the Canadian Centre for Leadership and Human Values” in Toronto, who will be returning for her second year.
Also slated to speak are Renate Winkler, a doctor of natural medicine and a pharmacist with Pharmasave in Fort Frances, and Jo-ann Waytowich (“Ivanka”) from Thunder Bay.
“Ivanka,” a stand-up comedian well-known for her unique brand of humour and song, performs to sold-out audiences across the country.
Dr. Dhali Dhaliwhal, president and CEO of Cancercare Manitoba, also is confirmed as a keynote speaker for the Women’s Health Symposium.
Committee members also are hoping to elicit the continued support of area businesses and organizations through their sponsorship and/or in-kind donations, as these contributors are key to the success of the symposium.
