Tara Albanese, the lone candidate who wasn’t elected, will serve as a volunteer board member.
The Chamber was required to hold an election after more than 13 people put their names forward to fill the seats at its annual general membership meeting Nov. 24.
Ballots were sent out to Chamber members via e-mail shortly afterwards, and 35 ballots were returned by last Thursday’s deadline.
In other Chamber news, the 14th-annual Bell Business Awards will be held Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Adventure Inn.
It’s now up to the public to nominate who they feel is deserving.
Nomination forms are now available at the Chamber office (474 Scott St.), as well as at www.fortfranceschamber.com
The deadline for nominations is Jan. 15.
Businesses do not have to belong to the Chamber to be eligible to win.
