The Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre now has eBooks available to patrons to borrow for free.
Patrons may choose from more than 1,600 eBook titles through the Ontario Library Services Download Centre at http://downloadcentre.library.on.ca/
Available eBooks may be borrowed up to 14 days, and after downloading a title, they can be read either on a computer or a compatible device.
Compatible devices include the Kobo eReader, Barnes & Noble NOOK, Sony Reader, as well as the Apple iPad and iPod touch.
Android and Apple smart phones also can load library eBooks, however, the Amazon Kindle is not supported.
Library staff can help with choosing an eBook device and downloading eBooks.
Patrons are encouraged to come for one-on-one assistance throughout the day next Wednesday (Dec. 29) or on Saturday, Jan. 8.
