Easter cantata to be held Sunday Performing in the Falls on April 9

The Fort Frances Choraliers, under the direction of Diane Maxey, will be presenting their Easter cantata at St. Mary’s Church here on Palm Sunday (April 1), with a second performance in International Falls to follow Easter Monday (April 9).
This Sunday’s concert will start at 3 p.m., but people are encouraged to come early to get a seat as the event usually draws a full house, said Maxey.
There is no admission charge—only a free-will offering.
Maxey noted the choir of about 50 singers has been rehearsing and are all ready to go. Darren Ward will be the narrator this year.
The cantata runs about an hour.
If you can’t make the concert this Sunday or arrive too late to get a seat, the Easter Monday concert will take place at 7 p.m. at Backus Auditorium in International Falls.
Again, there is no admission charge, but any donations will go to “Citizens for Backus AB.”
