Earth Day is taking root at the Fort Frances Library Technology Centre.
To celebrate Earth Day, taking place this Thursday, library staff will offering curbside pickup of grain bags and activity books. According to Andrea Avis, the activity bags include seeds to grow barley, soy beans, corn and wheat. The grains will be divided and put in separate bags in order to have a contactless and safe pickup. An activity sheet will also be given with instructions on how to make play-dough and draw farm-related pictures. Andrea Avis said the pickup will take place Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families could also enter their children’s names to win a book titled “50 Simple Things Kids Can Do to Save The Earth.”
