Early-bird draw winner named

Press Release

The Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce the winner of this year’s Canada Day Cash Lottery early-bird prize is Kevin Busch of Fort Frances!
The draw was made at Flint House on Thursday to kick off the long weekend.
Busch won an all-inclusive fishing trip to the beautiful Manitou Weather Station Fishing Lodge.
This trip for two will include two days and three nights of fishing, guide services, meals, and accommodations for a value of more than $2,200.
The Riverside Foundation for Health Care would like to thank Manitou Station Fishing Lodge for its generous donation.
All cash prizes still are up for grabs, and will be drawn at 3 p.m. on Canada Day in conjunction with Fun in the Sun activities at Point Park.
The grand prize is $10,000. Other prizes include a draw for $2,000, a draw for $1,000, and four draws of $500 each.
Every ticket is eligible for all seven remaining draws–and only 2,500 are being sold!
Last year with the support of the community, the Foundation was able to purchase an ultrasound exam bed.
Funds raised this year will be used to purchase two portable ultrasound machines for the district.
Tickets, which cost $20 each, three for $50, or seven for $100, already are half sold-out.
You can get your tickets at the Fort Frances Times, Green’s Brand Source, McTaggarts, Taggs, and West End Motors in Fort Frances, Tompkins in Emo, and B&K Repair in Stratton.
They also are available at the Rainy River Health Centre, Rainycrest Long-Term Care, Emo Health Centre, and La Verendrye Hospital, or by calling 274-4803.
