Duo to perform at Backus

For those looking to escape the hype around the season premier of “ER” and aren’t interested in the latest weekly instalment of “Survivor,” there is another option tonight.
The Citizens for Backus A/B is hosting the contemporary folk acoustic duo Dancing Light at the Backus Auditorium in International Falls starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $10 ($13 Cdn.) for adults and $5 for kids.
Dancing Light, comprised of husband/wife duo Kiki and Greg Webb, are touring to promote their newest CD, “Meadowdance.”
The couple lives on the Leech Lake, Mn. Indian reservation and one of the songs on the new album, “Jingle Dancer,” reflects the experience of a pow-wow they were invited to attend.
Other songs reflect their deep feelings of love for each other and the world around them—from protest songs to love ballads and poems.
