Anyone planning to attend the 19th-annual Ducks Unlimited banquet here and haven’t got a ticket yet, you’d better act fast–there’s only 20 left.
“I would think we’re going to be sold out by Monday or Tuesday,” said DU member Larry Cousineau, who’s also in charge of ticket sales.
Tickets for the fundraising dinner, which is slated April 27 at La Place Rendez-Vous, cost $45 each, or $70 for a couple. They are available at Cousineau Brokers.
Meanwhile, the early-bird prize, which was drawn Monday morning, was won by Voyageur Panel. It was a seven-inch high Westminster mantle clock crafted from American hardwood with a DU logo on the face.
Cousineau said the prize will be presented to the Voyageur Panel table at the dinner.
With everything in line for the dinner, Cousineau said he’s looking forward to it–and is hoping others are getting equally excited.
“Everything’s going great. People should check out the auction items on display at Tammi’s, Northwoods Gallery & Gifts, and McTaggarts,” he remarked.
About 50 live auction items and more than 60 silent auction ones have been donated by local businesses and individuals, including work from almost two dozen local artists and carvers.
“We have some excellent prizes lined up–even better than last year,” enthused Cousineau, adding some big-ticket items up for grabs include a four-stroke Yamaha outboard motor, a DVD player, a kayak, and an underwater camera.
