In recognition of his expertise in anaesthesia and emergency room procedures, as well as his commitment to teaching, Dr. Jason Shack was given an Award of Excellence by the Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP).
He was one of 17 Ontario physicians nominated by their peers for this national award, which is meant to recognize family physicians who are an excellent example of the many contributions they make to patient care, their communities, and their profession.
“Suffice it to say, I was honoured to be nominated by one of my hard-working and dedicated colleagues,” said Dr. Shack.
“I do not feel deserving of this award as what I do seems no different than what all of my colleagues do and provide in Fort Frances,” he added.
Dr. Shack received the award at the OCFP president’s installation and awards banquet held Nov. 25 in Toronto.
