Downtime for local paper mill

Staff

Resolute Forest Products temporarily will be curtailing its paper-making operations at the local mill for the final five weeks of 2011.
The downtime, which will start Monday (Nov. 28), is due to poor market conditions, the company said.
This temporary downtime impacts roughly 9,000 metric tons of paper production, and about 100 employees will be impacted.
Operations at the kraft mill will not be effected.
This will be the fourth shutdown this year, following one from Feb. 21-March 7, another from March 28-April 11, and a third from May 2-May 16.
