Over the past few weeks, the Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit investigated several break-and-enters.
As a result of their criminal investigation, officers of the Rainy River District OPP detachment, the Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit, and the Rural Agricultural Crime Team conducted a search of a residence in Rainy River.
The search resulted in officers seizing 212 marijuana plants, along with several pieces of stolen property.
The potential street value of the marijuana seized is $212,000.
The OPP charged John Kirkrude, 27, of Rainy River with production of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime, and break and enter.
He is scheduled to appear in court here Sept. 21.
