The annual Linda Johnston Memorial Dinner was hosted by the Red Hat Society, in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts, on Feb. 16 at the Rainy River Legion.
The dinner was a great success, raising $2,386.
Just shy of 100 people attended the event, which featured a delicious roast beef dinner.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Alzheimer Society to help it continue to provide its services and programs in Rainy River District.
“We are looking forward to many upcoming events in the area, including the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s on June 15 in Fort Frances,” said Katelyn Charlebois, events and office co-ordinator for the Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts.
“We also want to thank our dedicated volunteers for the penny table, the cooks, chefs, and servers, the chair artists, and finally the Red Hat Society of Rainy River,” she added.
