The Town has extended the deadline to participate in the Official Plan and Zoning by-law Visioning Survey. Residents now have until November 20 to have their voices heard.
The Town of Fort Frances is undertaking a Comprehensive Review of its Official Plan and Zoning By-law as required by the Ontario Planning Act. The Official Plan sets a high-level vision and direction for land use within the town, and the Zoning By-law contains the rules for how land can be used and developed. It governs things like housing density, parking and green space.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and provides public input into the process. Public input will be used to create the Final Community Background Report and will help to create the Town’s new Official Plan and Zoning By-law.
