Date set for ‘Old Bags Lunch’

The Riverside Foundation for Health Care announced the date for its second-annual “Old Bags Lunch” has been set for Saturday, April 19 at noon in the cafeteria at Fort Frances High School.
Tickets cost $15 each, which includes a yummy bag lunch, entertainment, and lots of fun and games.
Watch for further details on where you can purchase individual tickets or reserve a table for eight.
Last year’s inaugural event saw hundreds of bags available to be won in games like “Bag or no Bag,” “Designer Alley,” “Make an Offer,” and “Grab a Bag.”
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is how organizers are planning for this year’s event.
“It’s going to be very similar to last year,” explained Joan Allison, chair of the Foundation’s Special Events committee.
“The feedback we received was very, very positive so we’re hoping that people haven’t forgotten how much fun they had,” she added.
Donations of new or slightly used bags, handmade bags, decorated bags, or designer bags can be dropped off at 525 Scott St., or by calling 274-9484 or 274-4803.
“I have become the local ‘bag lady,’” chuckled Allison, referring to the dozens of bags she already has received for this year’s event.
“We really do appreciate the wonderful support and I hope everyone will come out and have some fun!” she enthused.
