Help needed

A Dance Township family lost its home to a fire Saturday night and now is looking to the district for help.
Neither Andy and Rachel Pressenger or their three sons were hurt but the family cat and dog perished in the blaze, which also destroyed their home and all of their possessions.
The family is now staying in Barwick with Pressenger’s mother, Gladys Enns, who said this morning the community has been supportive so far.
“People are responding. We’ve had a lot of calls,” Enns said. “This being the second day, I’m amazed at how much help we’ve got.
“People have come and brought stuff,” she noted.
After suffering such a loss, Enns said the family wants to get back to “something normal.”
Anyone who wants to help the family should contact Enns at 487-2361.
Enns said the family lost everything, and on top of that still has expenses (hydro and phone bills, etc.) to cover.
The family has been making a list of what people are donating for furniture, so they are keeping track of what they still need.
Clothing is needed for Andy, 30, Rachel, 29, and their three sons, aged four, 10, and 11.
All of them are of average build.
They also want to get backpacks and lunch kits for the kids.
As well, since the family fully intends to rebuild on their property, Enns said they will need lumber, windows, and doors.
Donors can contact her, and she’ll have someone pick it up or tell them where they can deliver it.
Due to the fact Dance Township is an unincorporated area, residents there do not receive fire protection.
The cause of the fire isn’t known at this time.
