Crime Stoppers says thank you

As we wrap up January being designated globally as Crime Stoppers Month, we know that crime, and those involved in it, know no boundaries between communities or countries.
Criminals also can use both physical boundaries, as well as invisible ones, such as lack of communication, co-operation, and teamwork, to their benefit.
As you may know, the more than 1,000 Crime Stoppers programs worldwide—working together with the involvement and the support of the public, media, and corporate partners—has assisted law enforcement agencies in solving some one million crimes and seizing almost $7 billion in illegal drugs, while paying out over $80 million in cash rewards.
These statistics prove Crime Stoppers is safe, it works, and that society owes the individual volunteers from the public who lead, operate, and otherwise dedicate their time to Crime Stoppers a debt of gratitude.
Crime Stoppers is not a police program, it is a volunteer program—and it serves society.
By paying attention to stories featured daily in the media locally or globally, we realize the challenges faced by today’s law enforcement agencies continue.
And most agree the long-term effectiveness of the Crime Stoppers partnership between the public, the media, and themselves requires a consistent, unselfish, strong, and united local and global focus by everyone involved.
Thank you for supporting Crime Stoppers.
