The inaugural meeting of Fort Frances town council for the 2010-14 term will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Civic Centre.
Mayor Roy Avis, along with Couns. John Albanese, Andrew Hallikas, Ken Perry, Paul Ryan, Sharon Tibbs, and Rick Wiedenhoeft, will make their declaration of office and take their oath of allegiance before Justice of the Peace Pat Clysdale-Cornell.
Mayor Avis then will make his inaugural address and appoint a deputy mayor.
After that, councillors will be appointed to serve on the town’s numerous boards, committees, and commissions.
Refreshments will be served in the committee room downstairs at the Civic Centre afterwards.
The public is welcome to attend.
