Council meeting pushed back

The next regular meeting of town council, originally slated for Monday, Aug. 23, has been pushed back a week until Aug. 30.
Council held a brief special meeting yesterday afternoon and decided to change the meeting date because three of the councillors could not be present Aug. 23.
At least four councillors are needed for a quorum so rather than risk falling short of this, council opted instead to change the meeting date.
As usual, the council meeting will be preceded by the committee of the whole meeting, which is slated to start at 5:30 p.m.
