Couchiching golf course lands funds

Indian Affairs and Northern Development minister Robert Nault will be here Wednesday to announce federal funds for the Couchiching golf course.
Federal funding is expected to be in the range of $850,000—$900,000.
The Couchiching golf course is being built along the north and south banks of Frog Creek bordering Stanjikoming Bay. It should be ready as early as this summer.
The 18-hole course also will have a pro shop, clubhouse, and driving range.
Couchiching First Nation is located just east of Fort Frances.
