Economic development professionals, city and county representatives, Chambers of Commerce and business leaders will be gathering in Fort Frances on Sept. 15-16 to find local solutions that propel their communities forward.
Experts in community based economic development will be addressing attendees at the 2010 Northern Networks Trade Conference at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Conference organizers are pleased to announce that Terry Garrett from the Sonoma County GoLocal Team will speak to delegates.
For the past 10 years, Terry has been developing models based on the transformation of local media ecosystems and local economies.
The organization’s efforts include a loyalty card program that rewards local patronage.
This system can become a platform for building market information or an alternative to traditional capital market for small businesses.
Also on hand will be Adam Sherman from the Biomass Energy Resource Center (BERC) in Vermont will be available for private meetings with delegates.
BERC is a leader in involved in assessment, development and management of community-scale biomass energy projects.
Both Garrett and Sherman will be available for private meetings with delegates.
