Round 1 of the Aviva Community Fund competition is over and Community Living Fort Frances and District now is looking for continued community support during Round 2!
CLFFD is hoping to garner funding for its annual week at Sunny Cove Camp and needs the help of the community to make this a reality.
Since funding can be very tight in a non-profit organization, CLFFD is looking to the Aviva Community Fund and local residents for assistance.
Now in its third year, the Aviva Community Fund donates funding to select non-profit groups across Canada that can raise the most support within their communities.
The groups that gain the most votes go on to a panel of judges, who then decide which ideas best support their respective communities through categories such as impact, longevity, originality, as well as others.
CLFFD needs more votes than anyone else to get to this level!
Sunny Cove Camp has been a part of CLFFD’s annual roster for more than 30 years, bringing service users, volunteers, CLFFD staff, and community members alike together for a week of fun, sun, and games.
The camp offers the opportunity to those who otherwise may never be able to experience camp the chance to try something new.
And CLFFD hopes to continue the tradition for the next 30 years or more.
